Are you overwhelmed with statistics and treatment options and crucial decisions that need to be made?

Take control of your health and your life with A Cancer Journey Workbook.

Being a cancer survivor myself and someone that has had friends and family suffer from cancer, I know that sometimes the worst part about having cancer is the overwhelming amount of information that goes along with it. You are inundated with suggestions everywhere you turn from your doctors to your mother in law to the internet. They all seem to have the answers for you but just as you are completely unique, so is the cancer. It is your own exclusive brand just for you and how you react to the cancer, the treatments and the medications are also yours alone. NO ONE can know how you will feel, how your body will react or what the future holds. They can only give you predictions, not guarantees.

A Cancer Journey Workbook can help you deal with all the options and decisions you face and keep you organized through it all so you are free to fight with all you have.

There are several reasons you should consider DIY or do-it-yourself AC recharging. The greatest reason is that you will save a lot of money. You will avoid unscrupulous mechanics who remove some parts when you take the car in for repairs. Insurance rates and/or auto warranty rates change depending on how often you take the car in for repairs - you will not have this problem if you replace the AC yourself. To do DIY air conditioner replacement, you need practical knowledge. You also need eye protection and the right gear for your safety because skin or eye contact with the refrigerant can cause frostbite. You will also need a charging kit and a refrigerant. The most common refrigerant in new models is R134. The charging kits are readily available online and from department stores and auto parts shops. The kits come with pressure gauges for troubleshooting.

It is important that you note the refrigerant that your car uses. Most cars that were manufactured before 1995 use R12 which is no longer available in the market. To recharge such A/C systems, you can use recycled refrigerants from older cars - check the local junk yard. You can also make modifications to use R134A. You should never mix different types of refrigerants and you should avoid the use of flammable refrigerants such as propane and flammable hydrocarbons, which are actually illegal in most states. When recharging the AC, the first step is to connect the recharge service hose and the valve to the can of refrigerant - all these are contained in the recharge kit. Next, turn the valve on the service hose until it punctures the top of the can containing the refrigerant. Turn the valve back to its original position slowly. This will release a small amount of refrigerant into the hose and it is done to remove air from the hose. Your car has a low pressure charging port. This will be on the refrigerant line of your vehicle near the accumulator. After locating this port, connect the quick coupling.

You should never connect the refrigerant to the high side of the charging port since the pressure inside the air conditioning system may burst the can when you run the engine. However, there is a low risk of this happening because the service hose is designed in such a way that it will not fit the high pressure charging port. After this, hold the refrigerant can upright to prevent refrigerant entering the service hose since only vapor should be pulled into the AC system. Note that if compressor sucks large quantities of liquid, it may be damaged. You should have a gauge for monitoring the process. Although this is not necessary, it will make the whole process more accurate, meaning there will be no risk of overcharging or undercharging the system. Next, start the engine of your car. Turn the AC to MAX/HIGH, or high cool, high fan. Open the valve so that the refrigerant can pass through the hose - this will take anything from 2 to 5 minutes. Finally, check whether the can is still cold and if it is not, close the valve and disconnect the hose. Make sure there are no leaks on the charging port and replace the cap. Run the AC system to find out whether you have been successful.

Driving around with your shiny and slick car brings about a feeling of great achievement. If the vehicle is new, you will find yourself taking extra care to ensure that it remains looking like it was just driven off the car lot. However, no matter how careful one is, there is bound to be a time that the vehicle will have a scratch or dent due to some accident or negligence. Such an event, especially when it occurs to a new car, can be very distressing.

The thought of taking the car to a repair shop is not exciting due to the amount of money you’ll probably have to pay. However, don’t fret; you may be able to repair small scratches and blemishes satisfactorily yourself at a minimal cost.

While doing it yourself is convenient, there are trade-offs to going this route. It’s likely the paint won’t quite match the original color of the car and it won’t lay level or flat with the paint in the surrounding area. If your car is dented or has large areas that need repair, it’s best to leave it to professional body shops to do the work.

However, if you are bound and determined to move ahead, then use these tips to help you do the best touch up paint job possible:

If possible, get the touch up paint from your car manufacturer’s dealer. This way, you can get the closest possible match to your car’s paint color.

For successful application of touch up paint, you need to have a steady hand. This is necessary because the spots that usually require repair are small.

Compared to solid or opaque colored paint, metallic paint separates, leaving you with poor results.

Many touch up paint kits will come with unnecessary extras, like a separate clear coat paint. While clear coats are available to add protection to your paint job, often, they look messy and too thick to blend in well with the surrounding paint.

Sanding paper and cleaning solvents to prep the area beforehand aren’t required.

After the paint has dried, you may decide to do color sanding. However, this requires skill and a high speed buffer. I do not recommend this for the beginner and expert advice or service is required.

Though most touch up paints come with a brush or a tip for easy application, use of a toothpick for really precise results is an option.

Do-it-yourself paint touch-up may be more affordable than hiring a professional. However, like most things, the results may not live up to your expectations. Consider all of your options before jumping in with repairing your car’s paint job.

This explains why car wash professionals are usually equipped with an array of auto detailing car wash chemical products. However, most commercially available cleaning chemicals can trigger adverse health reactions in addition to polluting the environment. This is why many car detailing businesses have turned to green chemicals.

Natural cleaners available from a reputable green cleaning manufacturer are sourced from plants and are non-toxic, biodegradable, and safe for use. However, do not assume that these natural cleaners are mild and ineffective when it comes to cleaning power. In spite of being plant-based, these green cleaner products offer exceptional cleaning results while remaining mild on vehicle surfaces.

A green car wash chemical offers amazing cleaning power due to its advanced formula. These natural cleaners contain millions of nano-based molecules that are capable of penetrating into dirt particles and breaking the molecules holding dirt and grease particles together. The dissolved dirt and grease residues are then emulsified in water to enable quick removal and to prevent them from re-attaching to the vehicle surface again.

The following are a few major categories of natural cleaners offered by leading distributors:

Car Wash/Truck Wash Chemicals

These green chemicalshave been formulated to remove the toughest dirt, grime, grease, and other deposits from exterior vehicle surfaces. There are separate versions available for cars and trucks, as the two types of vehicles face different demands. These products can be used in the concentrated form, diluted form, and in combination with steam pressure washers.

Glass Cleaners

The natural, powerful ingredients in green glass cleaners effectively dissolve tough deposits, like tree sap or bugs on the glass surfaces, without causing any damage. These green glass cleaners leave a streak-free finish that ensures optimum visibility.

Degreasers

If there are stubborn grease or oil deposits, green cleaner products like degreasers will help you eliminate them easily. The encapsulation and emulsification process is the most effective method of grease removal. Better yet, top suppliers offer different formulas for varying degreasing application.

Tire Shine Solutions

Tires tend to accumulated caked mud, dirt, and other deposits. Natural tire shines leave a glossy, protective finish on tires, to keep them clean for longer.

Carpet & Upholstery Cleaners

Carpets and upholstery within vehicles can accumulate dust, dirt, food particles, pollen, and pet dander. Spills can cause stains and foul odor to develop. Carpet cleaners from a green cleaning manufacturer helps efficiently remove all of these particles by trapping and crystallizing dirt particles so it is easy to vacuum these particles away.

Deodorizers

The interiors of cars can absorb odors and begin to smell foul soon after a cleaning session. This is because most commercial deodorizers simply mask odors temporarily. On the other hand, green car wash chemical products like green deodorizers target the source of odors and destroy those organic deposits so the odor does not return.

As you can see, there are powerful and safe auto detailing car wash chemical supplies for almost every vehicle detailing task. Choose these green alternatives to accomplish great cleaning results without harming the environment, the vehicle, or the user.

As a car ages in years, it starts needing a little more attention and care. Even if you take care of your car very well, chances are that as old age settles in it will need a few repairs. Some of these repairs are kind of unavoidable and maybe even unpreventable. However, getting the repaired is usually simple. And even if you car has a few years behind it, keeping it looking good will still help you sell the car if you happen to need or want to at some point down the road. One of these repairs is headliner repair.

The headliner is the fabric covering of the interior of an automobile’s roof. It is normally made of lightweight fabric and may have an inner framework of stiff wire or a cardboard backing for stiffness. It is usually made of a light colored material as well. Since the headliner is made out of such lightweight material it usually begins to wear down quicker than other parts of your vehicles interior. What usually ends up happening is that it started to sag in small areas, and then eventually it is sagging the entire way only holding on at the edges. It not only looks bad, but is annoying as it sits on your head as you drive.

You have a few options available to you as you endeavor to fix this headliner problem. You can replace the headliner or you can repair it, or you may even try to fix it yourself.

First of all, it is not advised that you try fixing your headliner yourself with crazy ideas you think will work. Whether it be an adhesive, pins, or anything else you will be wasting your time and money. Usually they will fix it for a day or maybe a few days, but you end up in the same spot you were before and maybe worse depending on how you tried to fix it yourself. You should either get it repaired professionally or get it replaced.

If you choose to replace the headliner you will pay more than having it repaired. You may also have to wait for them to order materials or supplies to complete the job. You may also be out of a vehicle while they work on your car. However, this is an option you can choose to get your car’s interior looking great.

You can also get your headliner repaired. Any auto reconditioning shop should have the tools and skills to repair your headliner in no time. They can get your car’s interior looking great and at a good price. It will cost you much less to get your headliner repaired. Normally headliner repairs can be done in a short amount of time, so you will not be without your car. A good auto body professional can make your old headliner look like new for you!

Start looking for an auto body shop to get rid of that sagging headliner and get your car on its way to looking great inside and out!

They note that classic cars are produced in limited quantities and sold at a higher price. They further explain that a 25 year-old car will qualify as classic since the normal shelf life of a vehicle is 10 to15 years only.

Owning a classic car is a great investment for car enthusiasts. The price value appreciates as it ages. The only problem or challenge most collectors encounter is when they need to change some car parts and accessories. The classic car parts are not usually available in typical automobile shops.

Owners can still look for specialty stores that carry car parts for outdated models. Shopping for a classic car part is now easy with the use of internet. They can search the internet for dealers who are engaged in restoring and selling classic car parts. They can look at the classic car classifieds for easy access on complete lists of sellers.

Placing an order through the internet is easy. It will only take a few minutes. The buyer will have to use his credit card to pay. The product will be sent through courier service once the payment is received and confirmed. Deliveries usually only takes a couple of days depending on the courier service provider.

Join groups and organizations having the same interest in classic cars. You will be able to get a lot of tips from them regarding where to go for hard-to-find parts, what shop best restores a classic car, or maybe recommend an excellent mechanic who offers door to door service.

It is also fun to hangout with people of the same interest. You can do things together like watching car racing competitions, going to exhibits, or sharing each other’s experiences on how you got your collection. You might be able to influence them positively in some way.

Some automobile shops are providing catalogs for their classic cars and parts. They could be ordered online and is to be sent through mail. Included in the catalog are photos and specifications of available parts.

Most of these shops restore and recondition old parts. A few manufacturers make new parts for classic cars. Normally however you will find parts that actually came from a dismantled classic car.

Your present car has either evolved into a reliable partner or is showing signs of age and disrepair. It is time to decide whether to keep your old car or replace it with a new or used vehicle. In some cases it may be cost-effective to repair your present vehicle but you have to decide if that is a wise choice.

Here are some ideas to consider when faced with this decision. Determine the operating cost of your present car. Compare to the operating cost of a new car or of a newer used car. Fuel mileage is a big factor in today’s economic environment. Determine the cost of reconditioning your present car. It may need some consumable items replaced.

o a set of new tires
o new battery
o wind shield wiper blades
o belts, hoses
o muffler and exhaust system.
o brakes
o front end work, ball joints, struts
o Minor engine work such as tune up, valve adjustment, timing belt replacement.
o Body work - could turn out to be a major repair
o Paint job - paint jobs can be expensive

Major engine work I think would be a cost disqualifier to having the car reconditioned. Does everything work on the car? Are there any pesky problems such as a radio that doesn’t work, electric window problems, or other little items that tend to cause you stress. Is there anything at all about the car that irritates you? If so then why invest money in something you aren’t going to enjoy driving and spending time in?

After you determine the cost to repair your present car then, determine the value of the car. Use the Kelly Blue Book for Used Cars to estimate the value. If the cost to repair is more than 30% of the trade in value then I would think twice about putting money into it. On the other hand if you like the car and the repairs will give you another three years of trouble free and safe transportation then it may be a good choice to make the repairs. Keep in mind that after three years of driving your reconditioned car it will again probably need tires, brakes, and possibly other repairs. Also the trade in value will have decreased over those next three years.

If you decide to make the repairs and drive the car for another three years then set aside the cost of a payment each month and put that toward the next car that you purchase three years from now. By putting away $200 a month for three years you could save $7,200 towards the purchase of that next car. The money saved plus the value of your clunker may pay for the next vehicle in full if you purchase a used car or it could take a big chunk out of the cost of buying a new car.

Here are a few more thoughts to keep in mind to help you decide whether to buy a newer and better used vehicle or to buy a new car outright. There are advantages to buying a new car:

o It smells new
o It looks new
o It has up-to-date technology
o It has important safety features such as air bags
o It will run trouble free for the next 5 to 7 years (well it should!)

The advantages of buying a used car:

o a used car is a better buy and more affordable than a new car.
o a new car depreciates by up to 30% the minute you drive it off the dealer’s lot.
o with a used car you have no fees such as dealer prep, shipping costs, new registration, licensing, etc.
o Insurance for an older car is somewhat cheaper.
o the monthly cost to drive a used car is less. The cost of the new car monthly payment alone is much more for a new car than for a used car.

After reading over these thoughts I hope you will feel better prepared to tackle your next car buying decision.

Most people strive to have a nice looking vehicle. Well with the economy the way it is it doesn’t seem many people are buying new vehicles. We simply have to do small things to repair and bring out the shine in our vehicles. There are many different things that can get your vehicles shining again. Although these little repairs and additions will cost a little money it is well worth it. Find out some ways you can restore you vehicle back to its natural beauty.

You should first consider getting paintless dent removal for your vehicle if it has any dents and dings. These dents and dings can be easily removed with the paintless dent removal system. The auto reconditioning specialist will remove the dent by using reflective sources, rods and special tools. They will massage the dent out from the inside. You will be left with a dent free car that looks like there weren’t ever any dents in it to begin with. This service does not cost too much since there are no extra materials like fillers or paint used. Also it can usually be completed in just a few hours, which also saves you money. And the original finish of your vehicle is not compromised.

If your headlights are cloudy, hazy, or discolored not only is your car looking bad, but you are driving unsafely. About 9 out of 10 cars on the road need headlight restoration, a service offered by most auto reconditioning shops. You headlights could really be holding your car back as for looks. However, your night vision is also decreased by about 90%. This process is affordable and can be completed quite quickly.

Your windshield may be cracked or chipped. If so, your car is not looking its greatest and it is another safety concern. Most windshield cracks and chips can be repaired quickly. Also, many times an auto body shop may offer a service where they will come to you to fix your repair, which makes this repair very convenient. However if you wait too long to fix your cracked windshield they may not be able to repair it and that will mean a new windshield. That will mean more money out of your pocket. So, don’t wait on this service.

You should also consider getting a professional auto detailing service for your car. The professional auto detailer will clean your car inside and out. They will strip your car usually using a clay bar system which removes any bugs, residue, dirt, or sap that may be on your vehicle. Then they apply a new coat of wax to protect your vehicles paint from more damage. They will also clean the inside by vacuuming, cleaning, and polishing. They will restore you vehicle to show room condition for you.

All of these services will improve the appearance of your car alone or by adding a few together depending on your vehicle. So, don’t wait let an auto reconditioning specialist restore you vehicle to its natural beauty.

Most people want to buy a new vehicle because they look nice and shiny! However you can have a nice car that shines even if it is not brand new. You can get your vehicle reconditioned to look like new and shine like a new also! There are many auto reconditioning shops around that provide many great services to get your vehicle looking its best. So, instead of getting a new car set your sights on a newly reconditioned vehicle by taking your current vehicle to an auto reconditioning shop!

Auto reconditioning shops offer a lot of services in a wide variety; check out what can be done to your current vehicle!

There is a great service called paintless dent removal. Paintless dent removal is used to remove dents and dings on your vehicles auto body. This process involves the use of reflective sources, rods and other specials tools that massage the dents out from the inside. That means no fillers and no paint is needed to repair the dents and dings. So you will pay less and it will not affect the original finish of your vehicle. This service can be completed in under a few hours at most auto reconditioning shops!

Bumper repair is another great service that you can get for your vehicle. It has not always been possible to get your bumper repaired. However, they have changed the material that bumpers are made from so it is possible now. If your bumper has been damaged you can easily take it to an auto reconditioning shop for repair.

If it is your vehicles interior that is holding the rest of your vehicle back from looking like new, which can also be repaired at an auto reconditioning shop. They repair things like rips and tears in upholstery, falling headliners, cigarette burns, stains, cracked dashes and much more. It can be completed in a quick time and is affordable.

Another repair that many car owners don’t know about is wheel rim repair. Getting new wheel rims can be quite costly, and if you have already put a lot of money into your wheel rims chances are you don’t want to do it again. If your wheel rims are scratched or scraped or even need straightening that can be repaired at auto reconditioning shops as well.

Windshield repair is a great repair that can be completed quickly and most times they will even come to you to fix the repair with mobile service. If your windshield is cracked or chipped be sure to get in repaired right away. It is a quick and affordable repair that also provides safety to your vehicle.

Once you get your vehicle you will surely see a great difference as your auto body damage seems to have disappeared! Auto reconditioning is for the most part affordable. Also many times car insurance providers will pay for the damage to be repaired. However most people find that auto body repairs are affordable enough that they don’t have to use their insurance.
